Reminder: COVID-19 Test Sites
- Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart’s drive-through centers in Pensacola, Destin and Panama City provide community testing for COVID-19. More information here.
- Pensacola location - open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, Monday through Friday
- Destin location - open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays
- Panama City location - open 9 a.m. to 1 pm., Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Baptist Health Care COVID-19 testing, call the screening center at 850-434-4080 to determine if you need an appointment. Online assessment screenings are also available via their website or text “Screen” to 850-318-3080. The online assessment screening is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. - Community Health Northwest Florida in partnership with Commissioner Lumon May, walk-up mobile testing is scheduled on Wednesday, June 17 from 9 a.m. - noon (or until testing supplies last) Alabaster Gardens Senior Community, 929 Massachusetts Ave., Pensacola, FL 32505. In partnership with Dixon School of Arts and Sciences, walk-up mobile testing is scheduled on Friday, June 19 from 9 a.m. - noon (or until testing supplies last) at Dixon School of Arts and Sciences, 1201 North H Street, Pensacola, FL 32501. Adults must accompany children to give consent for testing.
- Please bring photo ID and insurance card (if insured). No pre-screening required. Open to anyone in the community. The public is encouraged to check the Community Health Northwest Florida Facebook page for announcements on Thursday and Friday morning concerning cancellation and possible reschedule date.
- University of West Florida drive-through COVID-19 test site is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, unless there is inclement weather. It is located at the SP2 parking lot, which is on the east side of campus, near the East Sports Complex. Individuals are asked to remain in their vehicles, which must have a window. Pre-screening is not required. More information here.
- OneBlood is testing all blood donations for the COVID-19 antibody. The antibody test is authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and will indicate if the donor’s immune system has produced antibodies to the virus, regardless of whether they ever showed symptoms. Appointments to donate are required. Masks are required to be worn by all blood donors. You may wear your own or we will provide one for you if needed. To protect our team members and other donors, please do not present to donate if you are not feeling well or have a fever. Please stay home and consider donating once you feel better.
Florida Department of Health in Escambia County
- FDOH-Escambia’s walk-in testing site is free to all Florida residents with or without symptoms. Pre-screening is not required. Open June 15-19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. CT at 1300 West Gregory St., Pensacola, FL 32502. Dates are subject to change due to inclement weather. - As of 2 p.m., June 15, Escambia County has had 999 positive COVID-19 cases. This number is expected to change daily due to the return of results from ongoing testing. The best source for up-to-date information regarding confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida is the Florida Department of Health website and the associated Data and Surveillance Dashboard and Daily Report. The site is currently updated once daily, at around 3 p.m. ET.
- The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 38 individuals.
- The Florida Department of Health (the Department) releases a list of long-term care facilities in Florida associated with COVID-19 cases with active cases and number of deaths in each facility in order to provide real-time data. The list of long-term care facilities with active COVID-19 cases is available here.
- The Department is providing a report detailing surveillance data for every Florida county. Previously, this information was only available for select communities. The surveillance data report is available here.
- To view demographics of cases in Escambia County, visit the COVID-19 dashboard and select Escambia County. The following case data will appear: age, gender, race, and ethnicity.
