Olive Road Lane Closure Scheduled to Begin Tuesday

Olive Road will experience short-term lane closures beginning Tuesday, March 17 at 9 a.m.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured along Olive Road to Yancey Avenue, detoured around the north intersection of Yancey Avenue and Parazine Street, then on to Tippin Avenue, south to Malibu Drive, left onto Olive road. Westbound traffic will detour right onto Malibu Drive, right onto Tippin Avenue, left onto Parazine Street, left onto Yancey Avenue, back to Olive Road. 

Intermittent lane closures on Yancey Avenue are necessary to install a new 18-inch water main for upgrades in the Olive Road Multi-Lane Reconstruction and Drainage Project Phase 2.

The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts in order to reopen the road on or before Friday, March 20 at 5 p.m. 

If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time period, another notice will be issued.
