FDEP Hosting Bayou Chico BMAP Meeting Jan. 18

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will host the Bayou Chico Annual Basin Management Action Plan meeting Thursday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. at the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place. Everyone is invited to attend this public meeting. 

The agenda will include a review of BMAP and local government projects in Escambia County, along with updates about water quality efforts including Jones Creek, Jackson Creek, Bayou Chico and Sanders Beach. The meeting will also offer an opportunity for public comments.

A basin management action plan, or BMAP, is the "blueprint" for restoring impaired waters, representing a comprehensive set of strategies including conservation programs, best management practices and more. To learn more about BMAPS, click here.
