Updated: ECAT Route Service Interruptions Due to Presidential Visit

Escambia County Area Transit will experience service interruptions due to President Donald Trump’s visit to Pensacola on Friday, Dec. 8. The Pensacola Police Department has issued a list of street closures for the President’s visit.

ECAT will detour all normal routes that service the Downtown Transfer Center to A Street and Gregory Street as a transfer point. Routes 57, 59x and 64 will not be in service. 

These street closures will impact the following ECAT Routes:

Routes 2, 31, 32, 41, 44, 45, 48, 55, 57, 58, 59A, 59X, 61 and 64

Starting at 1 p.m., there will not be ECAT service in the following areas:

  • Pensacola NAS Station: Portions of Navy Boulevard traveling east to Barrancas Avenue & Garden Street 

  • Downtown Area: Routes traveling to and from the ECAT Downtown Transfer Center/City Hall will be re-routed. 

  • Pensacola Bay Center: From south of Cervantes and Tarragona streets heading east to Cervantes Street and Ninth Avenue, south of Ninth Avenue and Chase Street heading west to Chase Street and Tarragona Street. 

The road closures and detours are subject to change. Other streets may be affected during this time, depending on the final motorcade route.
