The Force returns to Pensacola Library for Star Wars Day on Sunday, Dec. 11, with crafts, games and more for Star Wars fans of all ages. The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at the Pensacola Library, located at 239 N. Spring St.
Children can make mini lightsabers to help them through a Padawan academy before making Star Wars-themed Christmas ornaments. Adults can challenge their skills with Wii lightsaber battles before trying it in real life with Gulf Coast Lightsaber Training. A scavenger hunt for all ages will take jedis, princesses and all other space creatures through the library in search of elusive master Yoda.
All attendees are encouraged to come in costume.
Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion will be joining the festivities, as well as a few surprise special guests. Solo Caffe will be open on the first floor of the library and will have a special menu with Star Wars-themed treats for the day.
