As Escambia County enters the second month of the 2015 hurricane season, residents are encouraged to sign up for the free Alert Escambia notification system to ensure they receive the latest information and updates in the event a disaster strikes.

When signing up for Alert Escambia, residents can choose their preferred method of notification. To date, nearly 1,500 residents have signed up and provided additional contact information through the alert system, in addition to 74,000 commercially available telephone numbers.
