Second Open Enrollment Session Begins Monday

Published Sep 12, 2014

Human Resources will be conducting the second open enrollment for Escambia County employees from Monday, September 15, to Saturday, October 11, 2014.

Open Enrollment Update #2 from Human Resources
The meetings have been scheduled and we look forward to seeing you there. These meetings are found to be very beneficial to the employees and is a great time to get a better understanding of the benefits available to you and a time for you to speak directly with the providers.

The most asked question during open enrollment is: "If I want to keep everything the same what do I have to do? "

Answer:

Login to Kronos Self-Service and select “Current Benefits” to review your current benefits

o    Check to make sure that any dependents you need covered are shown

o    Check your beneficiary information

Attend an open enrollment meeting

o    There are a number of changes this year relating to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Flexible Spending Programs (FSA)

o    Two more voluntary programs are now available

o    Even with no health and dental plan changes we will be talking about how to avoid costs and provide updates on the Affordable Care Act

If you still have no changes then you do nothing with the exception of Flexible Spending programs, which you must enroll in during every open enrollment period

With questions or for more information, please contact Human Resources via email at [email protected].

Any paper forms must be submitted to Human Resources by Monday, October 13. Changes will become effective January 1, 2015.
