RESTORE Committee August Meeting Schedule

The Escambia County RESTORE Act Advisory Committee is collecting information to develop criteria to select projects in accordance with the Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourism Opportunities and Revived Economy of the Gulf Coast Act of 2011, otherwise known as the "Oil Spill Act of 2011." Below is a listing of the committee meeting dates and presenters for the month of August.

The committee will meet from 4 – 6 p.m. in the Escambia County Board Chambers, 221 Palafox Place, Pensacola. Following the presentations, the public will be allotted three minutes per speaker to offer public commentary.

August 5             

William O. Cleckley, Director, Division of Land Management and Acquisition, Northwest Florida Water Management District

August 19           

Ramie A. Gougeon, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Anthropology, UWF-Sustainable Environment

Vernon Compton, Project Director, Gulf Coastal Plain Ecosystem Partnership, The Longleaf Alliance- Species Protection and Enhancement

Dr. Richard Snyder, Director, Center for Bioremediation and Environmental Diagnostics, UWF- Technical Advisory Support
