Escambia County Animal Welfare Offering Free Adoptions Now Through Oct. 31

Published Sep 1, 2022

From Sept. 1 until Oct. 31, the Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare will offer free adoptions for all animals currently housed at the Animal Welfare and Adoption Center. Licensing fees will also be waived during this time. Adoption fees include spay or neutering services, microchips, heartworm tests and the initial vaccinations including rabies vaccinations. Visit 24petconnect.com to see a full list of adoptable pets at the Animal Welfare and Adoption Center.

"We are tremendously thankful to the board for their support in waiving adoption and licensing fees," says Escambia County Animal Welfare Director John Robinson. "We have over 100 animals available for adoption. We hope this will open the doors for anyone who has been considering welcoming a pet into their home."

The Escambia County Animal Welfare and Adoption Center, located at 200 W. Fairfield Drive, is open Monday-Friday from 12-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Follow the center on Facebook to learn more about adoption events, featured pets and more.
