The Escambia County Natural Resources Management Department and the Escambia County Marine Advisory Committee will host a Beach Safety Symposium Monday, Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place in conjunction with the Marine Advisory Committee meeting on Feb. 10, in room 104 of the Escambia County Central Office Complex, located at 3363 West Park Place.
Escambia County Water Safety Chief Dave Greenwood will provide ways to keep yourself safe in and around the water. Marine Resources staff will identify ways beach-goers can help protect our beaches’ native wildlife and natural resources. Additional staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about beach rules and policies.
The Marine Advisory Committee explores research, provides technical expertise and makes recommendations to county staff and Board of County Commissioners regarding the development, administration and preservation of the county’s marine resources. More information on the county’s effort to protect and preserve marine resources is available at myescambia.com/marineresources.
