Speaker Sign-Up Form

Information for citizens wishing to address the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners.

The Gary Sansing Public Forum is intended for matters not included on the agenda for the Regular Meeting. Citizens wishing to address items on the agenda must indicate such items in the sign-up form for the Regular Board of County Commissioners’ Meeting. Speakers shall refrain from abusive or profane language, disruptive outbursts, protests, or other conduct which interferes with the orderly conduct of the meeting.

Pursuant to the Public Forum and Written Communications Policy for the Board of County Commissioners’ Meetings, Section I, A4, citizens wishing to speak at the Public Forum will be heard immediately prior to the Regular Board of County Commissioners’ Meeting. Speakers must attend the Gary Sansing Public Forum or Board of County Commissioners meeting in-person in order to be heard. Please note that a citizen may only speak once during the Public Forum and for a length of time determined by the Chairman regardless of the number of topics they wish to address. Citizens wishing to speak in quasi-judicial hearings in the Growth Management Report must have spoken during the hearings previously held by the Planning Board.

Speakers shall be allotted three (3) minutes unless otherwise determined by the Chair.

Exhibits and Materials

Any citizen who wishes to submit documents or other materials to the Board of County Commissioners should provide those materials to County staff in accordance with the applicable meeting procedures.

Electronic Presentations

If you plan to use an electronic presentation or other digital media during the meeting, please make arrangements with County staff prior to the meeting so the material can be prepared for presentation.

Before the Meeting

Please allow sufficient time before the meeting for exhibits or presentation materials to be received and prepared for use during the meeting.
