Schaag Road Bridge (#484039) Replacement

Design is underway for the replacement of Bridge #484039 on Schaag Road over Jack's Branch, in District 5.

Escambia County Construction Management has applied for a Bridge Investment Program (BIP) Grant for this project. The BIP, established under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, is a federal initiative through the U.S. Department of Transportation to improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of U.S. bridges. The program allocates $40 billion over five years to reduce the number of bridges in poor condition or at risk of deterioration, support local economies, and create jobs.

Design is being funded by Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) and if awarded, construction will be BIP grant funded.
