Rocky Branch Road, located in District 5, is a combination of paved asphalt connecting to East Quintette Road and an unpaved dirt road portion which passes through a 22-foot-wide easement on the Escambia River Muzzle Loader Sportsman Association's property (ERML). The dirt road portion continues west from ERML to the railroad tracks and proceeds south, parallel to the railroad.
There is an unopened 33-foot right-of-way owned by Escambia County along the southern boundary of the ERML property. The Board of County Commissioners plans to vacate the existing 22-foot access easement and provide an additional 33-foot right-of-way adjacent to the existing 33-foot right-of-way, creating a 66-foot right-of-way that will allow for the realignment of Rocky Branch Road.
This roadway realignment will require successful property acquisition to obtain the additional 33-foot right-of-way and connect the existing unopened right-of-way to the existing dirt road portion west of ERML.
