HMGP: Hurricane Sally - Ranchlands Subdivision (Sagebrush Trail) - Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Submissions

This subdivision is adjacent to Eight Mile Creek and includes homes that have also experienced multiple flooding events. A portion of Sagebrush Trail is within the 100-Year Flood Plain.

  • 12/8/23: Awaiting execution of the Rebuild Sally Grant; expected mid-January 2024. Appraisals will begin at that time.
  • A Public Meeting was held at the Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola, FL at 3:00 pm on 4/12/23; and again at 10:00 am, 4/13/23 regarding the Rebuild Florida Voluntary Home Buyout Grant.
  • Three separate Public Notices were posted on the Escambia County website in March 2022 for public comment.  Public Notices are attached in the link below.
  • FDEM/HMGP (Hurricane Sally Event): FEMA's Notice of Funding Opportunity associated with Hurricane Sally was issued May 10, 2021.  Escambia County's grant application for acquisition/demolition was submitted August 13, 2021. 
  • Three separate applications were submitted: Bristol Park/Ashbury Hills, Ranchland/Sagebrush, and County Wide Submissions.
