Muldoon, Velma, Saufley Field Phase I (Drainage Improvements)

The Muldoon, Velma, Saufley Field Drainage Improvements project is located in the Bellview area of Escambia County, FL. The project extends from Bayou Marcus Creek at the south end to Bellview Avenue on the north end.  Areas of focus include the existing County owned Velma Drive Pond located near 7400 Velma Drive, Muldoon Road between King Street and Saufley Field Road, the existing County owned Windham Pond located near 5806 Muldoon Road, the existing County owned Felton Regional Pond located near 5005 Saufley Field Road, and the existing drainage system on Muldoon Road north of Saufley Field Road, which includes the existing County owned Midas Pond and Hogan Pit Pond.

This is a multi-phased project consisting of expanding, upgrading, improving the existing County stormwater ponds listed above and their associated conveyance systems as well as installing new stormwater conveyance systems within the project area.

Connecting the existing County ponds listed above to each other to create a "stormwater treatment train" before ultimately discharging to the downstream Bayou Marcus and Perdido Bay is another aspect of the project.
