Infrastructure damages from Hurricane Sally consist of erosion, sedimentation, and scour. Excessive rainfall caused the bridge to over top resulting in retaining wall failure and sedimentation on the upstream side of the bridge. Erosion scour, and weir failure occurred on the downstream side of the bridge. Sedimentation also occurred throughout the channel.
Repairs to the upstream/downstream channel areas and the retaining wall/weir system impacted during the storm will be made when construction funding is approved.
