Jackson Street Safety Upgrades

Escambia County Engineering will begin construction of new sidewalks and minor drainage improvements along Jackson Street—from 59th Avenue to New Warrington Road—in the Myrtle Grove area of District 2 this August.

The project will primarily focus on the north side of Jackson Street and includes clearing and excavation, mailbox replacements as needed, minor drainage upgrades, installation of concrete driveways, and construction of approximately 1.4 miles of five‑foot‑wide sidewalks. Sod placement and other finishing improvements are also planned.

Weather permitting, construction is expected to be completed within 90 days.
