The Hogan Road Pond Expansion project is located in the Bellview community in District 1 and is within the Bayou Marcus Drainage Basin. This project consists of expansion of the Chestnut-Hogan pit to address street, yard, and home flooding.
The County currently owns property to the west of the existing Hogan Road Pond. Concept plans have been developed to expand the pond to the west increasing the capacity of the retention pond.
The current pond recovers by percolation through the pond bottom, which helps to improve water quality. Additional water quality aspects will be investigated in the design process.
Drainage improvements will also include realignment of the existing pipe culverts and outfalls into the pond.
