Project Details

This project consists of the enlargement of the existing Caro Pond as part of other drainage improvements in the area. A section of Caro Street will be removed to allow for additional pond space. Both ends will be paved to provide access to property owners as needed. The pond is located in the Ensley area south of Caro Street and north of Barber Street, between Satsuma Avenue and Orange Avenue. 

The West end of Caro Street, Phase 1, will be completed prior to drainage improvements and pond expansion.

In conjunction with the Ensley Drainage Caro Pond Area project, 1200ft of sidewalks will be installed. Sidewalks will be installed on Orange Street from Hannah Street to Caro Street, Caro Street from Orange Street to Old Palafox and Hood Street from Palafox to Hwy 29.
