CR 292A - West Sunset Avenue Bridge (#484245) Repairs

The West Sunset Avenue Bridge Repair project is located in District 2 over Bayou Grande. The bridge was damaged during Hurricane Sally. Construction includes restoration of the sidewalk and side slopes, (removal of the existing sidewalk, reconstruction the embankment underneath, placement of new sidewalk, reconstruction of the southeast side slope, sod installation, and maintenance of traffic.) The existing pedestrian handrail will be removed, stored and re‐used on the new sidewalk. The bridge will remain open during construction; however, pedestrians will be rerouted during sidewalk reconstruction.
