Pensacola Beach Lifeguards will conclude coverage at Perdido Key Public Access #2 for the season on Tuesday, Aug. 11, as the 2026-2027 school year resumes this week for local schools. Pensacola Beach Lifeguards will continue to provide service at Johnson Beach on Perdido Key until Labor Day, as staffing allows.
Lifeguard towers on Pensacola Beach will continue to be staffed through the end of October.
Pensacola Beach Lifeguards provided Perdido Key lifeguard coverage starting May 23, recording the following statistics on Perdido Key for the 2026 season:

Residents and visitors are urged to exercise caution when visiting the beach and swimming in the Gulf, especially when lifeguards are not present.
