ECAT to Resume Free Seasonal Beach Jumper Service this Weekend

Published May 20, 2026

Escambia County Area Transit will resume Seasonal Beach Jumper service beginning this Friday, May 22, providing residents and visitors a free and convenient way to travel between Pensacola and Pensacola Beach this summer.

The Seasonal Beach Jumper makes public transportation easy, with no tickets or prebooking required. Just hop on at one of several convenient stops in Pensacola, and the Beach Jumper will take you right to the Casino Beach Pavilion:

  • ECAT Transfer Center, 1515 W. Fairfield Drive
  • Downtown Transfer Center, 139 W. Government St.
  • Baylen Street Parking Garage, Baylen and Intendencia Street (New stop)
  • Jefferson and Garden Street

ECAT operates the Seasonal Beach Jumper from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (Friday, May 22 through Monday, Sept. 7).

The Seasonal Beach Jumper will run on Fridays from 2:10-9:40 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:40 a.m. to 9:55 p.m. Click here to view the full schedule.

Please note: Due to higher demand for Memorial Day, ECAT will operate the Seasonal Beach Jumper on Monday, May 25, using the Friday schedule.

“Launching the Seasonal Beach Jumper service is an exciting opportunity to make Pensacola Beach more accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” said District 4 Commissioner Ashlee Hofberger. “This free service allows residents and visitors to spend less time worrying about traffic and parking and more time enjoying our beautiful beaches with family and friends. We are incredibly fortunate to have these coastal treasures right here in our community, and I encourage everyone to take advantage of the Beach Jumper throughout the summer season.”

In addition to the Seasonal Beach Jumper service, ECAT also began operating the Pensacola Beach Island Trolley in April. The Santa Rosa Island Authority will continue Pensacola Beach Island Trolley service starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, providing free public transportation throughout Pensacola Beach. Additional information about the Pensacola Beach Island Trolley service is available on the SRIA website.
