FDOT District 3 to Host Tentative Five-Year Work Program Hybrid Public Hearing

Chipley, Fla.  The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Three invites residents to attend a hybrid public hearing regarding the Tentative Five-Year Work Program for fiscal years 2027-2031, on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. (CST) | 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. (EDT).

This hearing is being held to present information and receive community feedback.

FDOT is offering multiple ways for the community to participate in the hearing. All participants, regardless of the platform they choose, will be presented with the same information.

Virtual Option:

Interested persons may join from a computer, tablet, or mobile device at www.fdot.gov/wpph/district3. Pre-registration is required for the virtual format.

In-Person Options:

The purpose of the tentative work program is to provide direction on where and when to build transportation system improvements. The program is used to forecast funds needed for improvements across all modes of transportation such as roadway, bicycle, pedestrian, freight, trails, transit, aviation, and seaports.

This tentative work program provides proposed transportation projects for the 16 counties in FDOT District Three, which include: Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Wakulla, Walton, and Washington.

Comments can be made through the website at www.fdot.gov/wpph/district3 by clicking the “Comment” button. Comments may also be mailed or emailed directly to the FDOT District Three Program Management Administrator by using the contact information listed below. While comments about the tentative work program are accepted at any time, comments provided, or postmarked by Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, will become part of the official record.

This hearing is being held without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
