FDOT: Interstate 10 Resurfacing Project to Begin in Escambia County

Chipley, Fla. - This summer, the Florida Department of Transportation will begin a $7.4 million resurfacing project on Interstate 10 (I-10), from east of U.S. 29 to east of Davis Highway (State Road 291, Exit 13), in Escambia County. 

This project also includes:

  • Guardrail installation.
  • Stormwater management enhancements.
  • New signing and pavement markings.

During construction, drivers may encounter minor traffic shifts and periodic lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

This project is scheduled for completion in early 2026.
