The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare is excited to announce its participation in the Petco Love MEGA Pet Adoption Event Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28. The Petco Love MEGA Pet Adoption Event is a multi-day event with the goal to find 5,000 dogs and cats their forever homes across the state of Florida.
Adoptions are available at the following locations:
Friday, June 27:
- Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare, 200 W. Fairfield Drive, 12-5 p.m. – free adoptions on pets one year and older
Saturday, June 28:
- Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare, 200 W. Fairfield Drive, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – free adoptions on pets one year and older
- Hadji Temple, 800 W. Nine Mile Road, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – free adoptions on pets of all ages
Adoption fees are waived during the event, and every pet will be up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. A $15 licensing fee will apply for Escambia County residents.

The Escambia County Animal Welfare and Adoption Center is located at 200 W. Fairfield Drive.
