Escambia County to Host Boating Safety Symposium May 12

Escambia County Marine Resources and the Marine Advisory Committee invite the public to attend a special Boating Safety Symposium Monday, May 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 W. Park Place. during the regularly scheduled Marine Advisory Committee meeting. 

Marine Resources Division staff, Marine Advisory Committee members, representatives from federal, state, and local boating safety agencies, and members of the boating public will discuss safety issues and ways to improve boating safety on local waterways.

The symposium is free and open to the public, and anyone interested in learning more about boating safety is invited and encouraged to attend.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer courtesy vessel safety inspections by reservation only prior to the symposium between 4:30 and 5:20 p.m. on May 12 at the Central Office Complex.
