Escambia County and Pensacola Habitat for Humanity invite the public to a free homebuyer’s workshop to learn more about 14 newly constructed single-family homes available for sale.
The workshop will take place Saturday, April 12 at from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Marie K. Young Wedgewood Community Center, located at 6405 Wagner Road. One or more Escambia County Commissioners may be in attendance. The event is free, but registration is encouraged. Click here to register for the workshop.
In partnership with Escambia County, Pensacola Habitat for Humanity is selling 14 homes to eligible buyers at or below 80% Area Median Income. These homes will be selected and sold to buyers in order of approved applications.
Homes are at the following locations in Escambia County and the City of Pensacola limits:

- 432 N. Coyle St.
- 503 N. “B” St.
- 505 N. "B" St.
- 804 W. Wright St.
- 900 N. “D” St.
- 902 N. “D” St.
- 1313 W. Jackson St.
- 908 W. La Rua St.
- 1404 W. Jackson St.
- 1015 N. "G" St.
- 1021 N. "G" St.
- 1021 N. "F" St.
- 1100 W. Gonzalez St.
During the workshop, attendees will learn more about program requirements, the homebuying process, and how to apply. Escambia County and Pensacola Habitat staff will be available to answer questions during and after the workshop.
To apply for one of the homes, buyers must provide proof of home mortgage pre-qualification from a SHIP-approved lender. See a list of SHIP-approved lenders here. Homebuyers will also be required to attend an eight-hour pre-purchase homebuyer workshop. Pensacola Habitat program staff will process applications and confirm income and assets according to the agreement with Escambia County’s SHIP program.
Escambia County’s SHIP First-Time Homebuyer Program provides first-time homebuyers loans of up to $45,000 for income eligible borrowers for down payment and closing cost assistance. Learn more about the program at MyEscambia.com.
