Escambia County Road Survey Beginning Tuesday, June 11

Published Jun 10, 2024

In an effort to document pre- and post-disaster conditions, the Florida Division of Emergency Management is deploying a survey team, DebrisTech, to document all roads with unrestricted access in Escambia County beginning Tuesday, June 11.

DebrisTech will utilize an SUV equipped with a 360-degree camera and a Light Detection and Ranging sensor to survey several Escambia County roadways.

The resulting documentation will provide a supplemental source of visual evidence to assist with disaster recovery efforts. The road survey is expected to be completed prior to the peak of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season.
