MEDIA ADVISORY: Summer Youth Employment Ceremony on July 20

The media is invited to attend the Escambia County Summer Youth Employment Program Ceremony. During the ceremony, approximately 200 youth workers will be recognized by Escambia County Chairman and District 3 Commissioner Lumon May and Neighborhood & Human Services staff. One or more Escambia County Commissioners may be in attendance.

WHEN: Thursday, July 20, at 11 a.m.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Youth Employment Program gives 16 to 24-year-olds the opportunity to earn paid work experience in various county departments, including Animal Services, Building Services, Community and Media Relations, County Attorney, Development Services, District 3 County Commissioners Office, Engineering/Traffic, Extension Services, Facilities Management, IT, Library Services, Escambia County Area Transit, Neighborhood and Human Services, Parks and Recreation, Public Safety, Supervisor of Elections and the Escambia County School District.
