The road is expected to re-open by Wednesday, July 19.
Drivers approaching East Olive Road from the west will detour north onto Scenic Highway to Nine Mile Road, then detoured west to Davis Highway, following Davis Highway to detour back to Olive Road eastbound.
Drivers approaching East Olive Road from the east will be detoured to Johnson Avenue west to Davis Highway, then detoured north to Nine Mile Road then southeast to Scenic Highway, following back to East Olive Road.
If other roadway closures are necessary or work is delayed, another notice will be issued.
A formal Maintenance of Traffic Plan was submitted to and approved by the Escambia County Transportation and Traffic Operations Division on July 5, 2023. Acme Barricades was responsible for the submittal of the approved MOT Plan and has a valid certificate for Advanced MOT training.
