The club is open to youth ages 8-18 with an interest in acting, dancing, singing and playing music. Pre-registration is open now through March 28. The club will meet beginning March 28 at 5 p.m. at the Brownsville Community Center, located at 3200 W. Desoto St. Participants will learn voice and dance movements, acting techniques, improvisation and musical theatre basics. The club will also perform several complete productions for the public.
"This is an exciting and fun way for youths to spend their time," said Williams. "Our mission is to promote an appreciation and understanding of the performing arts by producing various forms of entertainment for our community and, most importantly, have fun doing it."
