Author Visit: Ed Hudson “As the Crow Flies: The Redemption of an International Drug Smuggler”

  • Wednesday Dec. 7, 10:30 a.m. – Molino Library

Join us at the Molino Library as we welcome Retired Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent Ed Hudson as he discusses his book “As the Crow Flies: The Redemption of an International Smuggler.” A true tale from right here in Escambia County with buried treasure to boot! Don’t miss it.

Baby Story Time at Your Library

  • Mondays, 10:30-11 a.m. – Pensacola Library
  • Tuesdays, 10:30-11 a.m. – Tryon Library

Join us for stories, songs and rhymes. This program is suggested for babies ages 0 to 2 years and their caregivers but open to everyone.

Bellview Book Club

  • Wednesday, Dec. 14, 5 p.m. – Bellview Library

Join us at the Bellview Library as we discuss “Fableby Adrienne Young. This pilot book club will take place every 6 weeks in the meeting room. 

Board Game and LEGO Day

  • Saturday, Dec. 3, 2 p.m. – Century Library

Stop by for a fun-filled afternoon of building and playing board games. The library will provide all the blocks and games.

Candy Cane Scavenger Hunt

  • Wednesday, Dec. 7, 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. – Westside Library

Santa’s elves have hidden 12 Candy Canes in the library. Find all 12 hidden candy canes and receive a prize! All ages are welcome to play.

Card Crafting

  • Saturday, Dec. 3, 1:00 p.m. – Southwest Library
  • Tuesday, Dec. 13, 4:30 p.m. – Southwest Library

Come make holiday cards with us! Sponsored by the Friends of the Southwest Branch Library.

Chill Fridays for Teens

  • Friday, Dec. 2, 3:30 p.m. – Southwest Library

Drop by the Southwest Library on Friday afternoon and de-stress after a long week with art, games, meditation, yoga, houseplants – there’s something for everyone! Recommended for ages 13-18.

Council On Aging

  • Tuesday, Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m. – Pensacola Library

Join us as the Council on Aging visits WFPL and discusses resources available for the older generations in our community.

Crafternoons: Vision Boards

  • Saturday, Dec. 3, 11:30 a.m. – Bellview Library

Join us as we craft the afternoon away! All materials will be provided by the library.

Family Movie Night: “The Polar Express”

  • Friday, Dec. 9, 4:30 p.m. – Pensacola Library

Join us for a showing of “The Polar Express.” The film is rated “G” and runs for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Food Science: Too Hot Chocolate

  • Friday, Dec. 2, 4 p.m. – Bellview Library

What makes hot cocoa so good? Chocolate, of course! Come see what other cultures add to this classic winter drink.

Gingerbread House Building

  • Thursday, Dec. 8, 4:30 p.m. – Pensacola Library

In honor of National Gingerbread House Day on Monday, Dec. 12, we will be building gingerbread houses with graham crackers and other goodies. Available while supplies last.

Gingerbread Engineering

  • Friday Dec. 16, 4 p.m. – Bellview Library

Join the STEAM team and construct gingerbread houses for the holidays. Materials provided by the library.

Legal Services of North Florida

  • Tuesday, Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m. – Pensacola Library

Lego Club

Make a Gift Day

Make someone special in your life an extra special present or three! Be sure to visit the card-making station and gift-wrapping station to wrap up your special homemade gifts before you leave. Available while supplies last.

One-on-One Resume Help

Take and Make Holiday Cards

There’s nothing like a handmade card for the holidays. Come for quiet crafting time in our STEAM workshop. We’ll bring the paper, you bring the cheer!

Tie-Dye Christmas Shirts

  • Saturday, Dec. 10, 2 p.m. – Century Library

Red, green and gold! Looks like the colors of Christmas. Bring a white t-shirt to the library to have some tie-dye fun with us!

The Study Spot for Teens

  • Tuesday, Dec. 6, 3:30 p.m. – Southwest Library
  • Saturday, Dec. 17, 1 p.m. – Southwest Library
  • Wednesday, Dec. 21, 3:30 p.m. – Southwest Library

Come to the library to study, work in groups, complete homework, and do other quiet projects while enjoying snacks. Recommended for ages 13-18.

Tryon Tuesday Holiday Movies

  • “DC League of Super-Pets” – Tuesday, Dec. 27, 3 p.m. – Tryon Library

Join us as we watch holiday movies throughout the holiday season!

Winter Bingo

  • Wednesday, Dec. 14, 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. – Westside Library 

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and enjoy an afternoon of bingo. Open to all ages, prizes will be given each round.
