Want to learn more about attracting pollinators and monarchs to your landscape? Are you thinking about adding a pollinator house to your yard? The Escambia Extension Horticulture program is ready to help with information to make your home landscape a must-visit spot for bees and butterflies.

Community members are invited to participate in two informative talks. One will feature plants for pollinators and specific information on growing milkweed, the host plant for monarch butterflies. The second session will help you decide if a pollinator house is an approach you want to take to offer a nesting spot for native bees. There will be a few giveaways along with some demonstration materials.

"Pollinator Plants and Monarchs" will take place Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. and "Pollinator Houses" will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church, 1030 N 57th Ave., Pensacola, Fla. 32506.

Please RSVP to Beth Bolles at bbolles@ufl.edu or 850-475-5230 ext. 1104. Follow Escambia Extension on Facebook for more information about monthly events, programs and more.
