Featured Program: 25th Anniversary Celebration of Harry Potter
Are you a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw? Join us at your local library to celebrate 25 years of Harry Potter with a variety of games, crafts and other activities. All ages are welcome.
Featured Program: Adventures with Elephant and Piggie
Join staff at the Pensacola Library as we adventure with Mo Willem’s wonderful characters Elephant and Piggie. The event program will feature games, three staff-directed story times and crafts. Suggested for youth and their families.
Adulting 101
Join us for a five-month series of Adulting 101 classes. Classes will be hosted the fourth Thursday of every month from June until October 2022. We will cover topics such as financial literacy and budgeting, college and career planning and health care basics. Suggested for teens and young adults.
Air Dry Clay Farm Animals
Come learn how to use air dry clay. We will mold and paint farm animals to keep. The library will supply all the materials needed.

Learn the game of chess by visiting Westside Library. A brief explanation of basic rules and game strategy along with family friendly competition may inspire participants to become lifelong chess fans.

Books Unite Us, Censorship Divides Us. Stop by Pensacola Library during Banned Books Week to help us celebrate EVERYONE’s Freedom to Read. Learn about the history of book banning and censorship in the United States and check out a “banned book” from our displays.
Beanstack: 1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Enjoy reading 1,000 books with your little ones! Log reading and earn badges all along the way. Bond with your child and inspire literacy along the way. A book a day is 365 books in a year, 730 in two years and 1,095 in three years! There's more time than you think, so get started today! Come into the library every 100 books to claim a prize. Be rewarded at 1,000 books with a book and a certificate of achievement.
Beginning Tai Chi for Adults
Join us for an eight-week course of beginning tai chi for adults focusing on the “Pensacola Eight Form”, taught by Steve Cupps. Steve is a former student of local tai chi instructors, Tori Willis and Robert Donofrio, the creator of the Pensacola Eight Form. He has studied tai chi for seven years and instructed at the Bayview Senior Center for two.
Registration is required. Call 850-436-5060 to register. The class size will be limited to 20 participants.
Chair Yoga
You don’t have to go to a gym to improve your flexibility. You don’t even have to leave your chair! Join us for an hour of stretching and breathing exercises that can be performed while seated.
Chess Club
Come learn how to play one of the oldest games in the world. Whether you are a brand-new beginner or a master chess player, this is a chance to learn new skills, practice your moves and improve your game in a friendly environment. All playing levels are welcome, including beginners. The library will provide all the chessboards and pieces.
Council on Aging
Council on Aging of West Florida presents a thoughtful presentation on social services and opportunities available to elder adults in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. With a charge from the State of Florida to keep seniors at home, with independence
and dignity for as long as possible, Council on Aging works to provide comfort and care in home, eliminating the need for long-term nursing home placement and expensive personal care. If you are aging and need help, or are a caregiver for an aging
older adult, we want you to receive every service available.

Florida Forest Service at Family Story Time
Visit your local library for a special story time with the Florida Forest Service. Learn how you can help prevent wildfires in our community and what it means to be a forest ranger. This program takes the place of regularly scheduled Family Story

Hunter Safety Class

Legal Services of North Florida
Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is one of seven legal services organizations in Florida. Our program in the 16 counties in the North Florida works hard to meet the legal needs of children, elderly, victims of abuse and those with disabilities.
LSNF’s priority areas of representation include support for families; preserving the home; maintaining economic stability; safety, stability and health; and serving populations with special vulnerabilities. These translate to cases involving
Family Law, Housing, Public Benefits, Employment, Education and Health Care issues. LSNF’s purpose is to provide case representation and advice to low-income persons in civil matters only. LSNF serves only the low-income and those with certain vulnerable circumstances including the elderly. LSNF never charges a fee for our services to a client.
