Adulting 101

Join us for a five-month series of Adulting 101 classes. Classes will be hosted the fourth Thursday of every month from June until October 2022. We will cover topics such as financial literacy and budgeting, college and career planning and health care basics. Suggested for teens and young adults.

Air Dry Clay Farm Animals

Beginning Tai Chi for Adults

Join us for an eight-week course of beginning tai chi for adults focusing on the “Pensacola Eight Form”, taught by Steve Cupps.  Steve is a former student of local tai chi instructors, Tori Willis and Robert Donofrio, the creator of the Pensacola Eight Form. He has studied tai chi for seven years and instructed at the Bayview Senior Center for two.

Chair Yoga

Come learn how to play one of the oldest games in the world. Council on Aging

Council on Aging of West Florida presents a thoughtful presentation on social services and opportunities available to elder adults in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. With a charge from the State of Florida to keep seniors at home, with independence and dignity for as long as possible, Council on Aging works to provide comfort and care in home, eliminating the need for long-term nursing home placement and expensive personal care. If you are aging and need help, or are a caregiver for an aging older adult, we want you to receive every service available.

Legal Services of North Florida

Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is one of seven legal services organizations in Florida. Our program in the 16 counties in the North Florida works hard to meet the legal needs of children, elderly, victims of abuse and those with disabilities. LSNF’s priority areas of representation include support for families; preserving the home; maintaining economic stability; safety, stability and health; and serving populations with special vulnerabilities. These translate to cases involving Family Law, Housing, Public Benefits, Employment, Education and Health Care issues. LSNF’s purpose is to provide case representation and advice to low-income persons in civil matters only. LSNF serves only the low-income and those with certain vulnerable circumstances including the elderly. LSNF never charges a fee for our services to a client.

Sewing with STEAM

• Monday, September 12 and 26, 10 a.m. – Southwest Library

Do you like to sew, or would you like to learn? Come join us as we have fun exploring the world of sewing. All skill levels welcome. We always have beginners’ projects available to get you started or you can bring in whatever you are currently working on. The library provides sewing machines, scissors, thread and other accessories to help you on your sewing journey.

Tabletop RP Adventure

• Saturday, Sept. 24, 12 p.m. – Genealogy Library

Join us for a Tabletop RP Adventure at the library. If you are curious or want to try your hand at a tabletop role-play game, you are welcome to join us. Party size is limited so give us a call at 850-494-7373 for details.

Take-Home Craft Kits

• Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. – Pensacola Library
• Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Pensacola Library

Take-home craft kits and other activities are available at the Youth Services desk at Pensacola Library. Availability is on a first come, first-serve basis during open hours. Kits rotate regularly.

Virtual: Harry Potter Escape Room
