Join the members of the Five Flags Amateur Radio Association at the West Florida Public Libraries Southwest branch, located at 12248 Gulf Beach Highway, and Century branch, located at 7991 N. Century Blvd., as they demonstrate the wonders of amateur radio. The demonstrations will take place on Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m.
Local amateur radio operators, also known as ham radio operators, will demonstrate how ham radio works to the attendees. Ham radio operators have provided countless hours of community service both in emergencies and to other local organizations throughout the decades, providing these services at no cost.
With groups located at the Southwest and Century branches, attendees will have the opportunity to speak to other ham radio operators located at their respective library locations.
