MSIB Update to Sunken Vessel Offshore of Pensacola

On Saturday, July 9, a 50-foot recreational fishing vessel sunk offshore of Pensacola, Fla. Most recent reports have determined the vessel has shifted and is no longer in the last known location, which was: 30º17.642’N, 87º17.831’W. The wreck’s location is unknown at this time and poses a significant risk to the maritime community and the boating public. Please exercise extreme caution when transiting this area. If you discover the sunken vessel, call the U.S. Coast Guard immediately at 251-441-5976 to report the location.

All vessels are advised to stay clear of the immediate vicinity of the last known location, as it could still be in the area.
