Escambia County Fire Rescue will host a retirement ceremony in honor of firefighter and paramedic Willis "Bill" Halfacre, who has served the citizens of Escambia County for 41 years. Local media outlets are welcome to attend and cover the ceremony. One or more Escambia County Commissioners may be in attendance.

[email protected]About FF Bill Halfacre:Firefighter and paramedic Bill Halfacre began his fire service career as a volunteer firefighter with Ensley Volunteer Fire Department in January 1981. In 1989, FF Halfacre began part-time employment with Escambia County EMS as an emergency medical technician, eventually becoming a paramedic in May 1994. FF Halfacre joined Escambia County Fire Rescue full-time in January 2000. Throughout the career, FF Halfacre received his HAZMAT certification, Fire Officer II certification, Live Fire Training Instructor certification, Pump Operator certification and his AAS degree in Fire Science from Pensacola State College. FF Halfacre has been married to his bride, Cassandra, since 2005. He retires with 41 years of service to the citizens of Escambia County.
