Join the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and Escambia County Fire Rescue on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 as we celebrate International Firefighters' Day. Residents are encouraged to "shine your light" in honor of the firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.

In recognition of the day, ECFR will "shine their light" in honor of District Chief Dwain Bradshaw, who lost his life in the line of duty on Nov. 6, 2019.

To celebrate International Firefighters' Day, you can light your home in red and share your #Shine4Firefighters story with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation social media pages or the Escambia County Fire Rescue Facebook page so firefighters can see your support.

For other ways you can show your support for your local firefighters on International Firefighters' Day, check out the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation website for more information.
