Escambia County will host a career fair Saturday, May 21 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Brownsville Community Center, located at 3200 W Desoto St. The event is free and open to members of the public looking for a career with Escambia County.
During the event, potential candidates will have the chance to speak one-on-one with representatives from the county’s various departments including public works, corrections and mass transit, and will also be able to apply for jobs in person. Human resources employees will be available to share more information on county benefits including healthcare coverage, salaries, the $2,000 recruitment incentive, tuition reimbursement and retirement packages.
“We invite anyone looking to start a career to come out and see what’s available,” said Human Resources Director Crystal Dadura. “We’ve recently raised our salaries in several positions including corrections – making us one of the highest paid in northwest Florida – fire rescue and EMS. We’re also proud to offer an incredible benefits package with medical, dental and vision coverage; flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA); an employee assistance program; a free employee health clinic; and free use of our county gyms. We hope you’ll join us at our career fair to learn more about what we offer.”
