On Tuesday Feb. 15, 2022, Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) honored Mr. Willie Carter for 47 years of service as a professional bus operator. In celebration of Mr. Carter's service and Black History Month, ECAT dedicated a bus wrap to Mr. Carter. The dedication took place at a surprise ceremony Tuesday morning at the Rosa Parks Transit Center, 1515 W. Fairfield Drive.
