ECAT Honors Mr. Willie Carter With Bus Wrap Dedication

On Tuesday Feb. 15, 2022, Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) honored Mr. Willie Carter for 47 years of service as a professional bus operator. In celebration of Mr. Carter's service and Black History Month, ECAT dedicated a bus wrap to Mr. Carter. The dedication took place at a surprise ceremony Tuesday morning at the Rosa Parks Transit Center, 1515 W. Fairfield Drive. Video for the event can be viewed here.

Remarks were given by Lumon May, Escambia County District 3 Commissioner; Rodriques Kimbrough, ECAT Interim Transit Director; Angela Walden, ECAT Customer Service Supervisor; Theresa Young, Bus Operator; Vincent Barnes, Program Manager of Safety and Security; Mike Lowery, ATU Local 1365 Union President; and Marion DomPierre, Program Manager of Operations.
