Beanstack: 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Enjoy reading 1,000 books with your little ones! Log reading and earn badges all along the way. Bond with your child and inspire literacy along the way. A book a day is 365 books in a year, 730 in two years and 1,095 in three years! There is more time than you think, so get started today! Every 100 books come into the library to claim a prize. Be rewarded at 1,000 books with a book and a certificate of achievement.

Winter “Season’s Readings” Challenge: Beanstack

Join West Florida Public Libraries for our Winter Reading Challenge! This year’s theme is “Season’s Readings”. This challenge is open to all ages and kids, teens and adults are encouraged to participate. Complete our seasonally themed reading activities to collect virtual puzzle pieces. Collect all four of the puzzle pieces to complete the seasonal puzzles. For each puzzle you complete, you win a prize. Complete all four seasonal puzzles and win a completion prize. Once you have completed the four seasonally themed reading activities and received the season’s badge, you are eligible to visit the library and collect your prize. Completing each season’s puzzle also means you win raffle tickets that can be entered for a chance to win even more cool prizes. Register at mywfpl.beanstack.org or stop by your local library and pick up a paper copy of the challenge.

Mindful Journal

Patrons will incorporate mindfulness practices and daily journal prompts to list, describe and explore all of the many things in life that they are thankful for. This network of libraries acts as the community’s independent learning center for residents of all ages who live in Escambia County, Florida.
