The Escambia County Department of Public Safety has launched new social media pages on Facebook and Twitter. Both social media pages are now activated and are titled, "Escambia County Public Safety."
"There is so much happening within Public Safety that does not get covered," said Escambia County Public Safety Public Information and Education Officer Davis Wood. "These pages are to not only serve as an informational source for the public and the media, but to also spotlight the numerous achievements that occur within the department."
The Escambia County Department of Public Safety includes:
- Escambia County Fire Rescue
- Escambia County Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- Escambia County Emergency Management
- Escambia County Emergency Communications
- Pensacola Beach Lifeguards
Currently,
Escambia County Fire Rescue,
Escambia County Emergency Management, and the
Pensacola Beach Lifeguards are active on Facebook. Emergency Management is also active on
Twitter. Those pages will continue to operate in their current capacities.
