"It is important that we invest in our local, small, minority businesses; that's how we improve poverty. That's how we take away disparities, and that's how we take away detriments. This event was about making connections and lifting others up."
The expo included many valuable resources for minority business owners including procurement workshops with county purchasing officials, onsite certification provided by The Office of Supplier Diversity, opportunities for participants to ask questions and meet with agencies to learn more about contract opportunities and more. Lunch was also provided at this free event for participants through the Studer Community Institute – The Spring's donation of food trucks "Lots of Lumpia" and "Who Cut the Grilled Cheese."
