This summer the West Florida Public Libraries will be hosting several story walks! Come down to the lawns at the Pensacola Library, Tryon Library or Molino Library and walk a story with your family. Several books will be on rotating display between the branches for your family to read and hop, skip, and jump between the pages as you play pretend. The original story walk project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. *Availability of story walks will be dependent on the weather.

Beanstack: 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Enjoy reading 1,000 books with your little ones! Log reading and earn badges all along the way. Bond with your child and inspire literacy along the way. The West Florida Public Libraries will host FoodRaising Friends, Inc. The organization will distribute bags of food to families with children as well as books for children. All books were donated by Navy Federal Credit Union. FoodRaising Friends, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bridge the nutritional gap for children and their families, especially during school breaks. Food bags and books are available while supplies last.
