Escambia County recently joined the Southeast Sustainability Directors Network (SSDN) and the Florida Sustainability Directors Network (FDSN).  As a member, Escambia County will partner with neighboring jurisdictions to continue integrating and institutionalizing sustainability best practices.

Escambia County is thrilled to become a member of SSDN and the FSDN to connect with our sister jurisdictions across Florida and the southeast,” said RESTORE Program Manager Matt Posner. “This is just the first step of many to come to create a more sustainable and resilient Escambia County.”

The first year of membership comes at no cost to the county as SSDN offers scholarships to Northwest Florida local governments. Staff will now have access to a wealth of resources related to climate action planning, electric vehicle transition, green stormwater infrastructure and flood mitigation, green buildings, clean energy and more.
