Escambia County invites the public to attend a virtual meeting discussing Project Universal Access on Tuesday, March 9 at 5:30 p.m. Natural Resources Management is seeking public input on universal access to the county's parks and public areas on the barrier islands. Residents can register online for the virtual meeting.
"Escambia County is committed to providing access to our parks and public areas to people with disabilities," said RESTORE Program Manager Matt Posner. "Meetings like these are a great opportunity for the public to provide their feedback and input on how to ensure universal access best."
Presenters will provide information on steps taken to survey existing conditions on the islands, present public input on the topic and discuss potential future improvements. Written questions and comments provided will be responded to during the meeting as well. Provide questions or comments before the meeting by email. A sign language interpreter will be provided.
