(Pensacola, Fla.) Feb. 26, 2021 -- The OLF-8 Master Plan team will host a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. to present a new master plan framework to the public. Interested participants are invited to register online.
The online meeting will include a presentation by the design team on the Hybrid Plan. Following the presentation, residents will have the chance to submit questions or feedback on the project.
This additional meeting, donated by the DPZ planning team at no extra cost, came as a result of a compromise plan that was developed earlier in the month. The DPZ team volunteered to host the town hall meeting to ensure citizens had the chance to learn about the new Hybrid Plan and share their ideas and opinions.
“We are optimistic this new compromise plan will have the political support to move forward into the next phase of the project,” said Marina Khoury, of DPZ CoDesign. “We value continued public engagement and community input. The DPZ planning team is happy to provide this additional time for the public to learn about the new plan, and we look forward to engaging with the community again.”
The DPZ planning team has conducted over a dozen stakeholder meetings, a 10-day virtual design charrette, and several public presentations to gain input on the OLF-8 designs.
