President Trump has declared a major disaster exists in Florida from Hurricane Sally, including Escambia County, Florida, for all public assistance, including direct federal assistance, for emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities.
Individual assistance is still under review. Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the state as warranted by the results of further damage assessments.
Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Washington Counties are approved for Public Assistance Category B (emergency protective measures), including direct federal assistance. All areas in the State of Florida are eligible to apply for assistance under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
