This July, celebrate the power and importance of outdoor activities with Escambia County for National Parks and Recreation Month!
Access to green space, fresh air and outdoor activities are vital for our health and well being, and there’s no better place to play than our local parks and recreation facilities. Celebrate by heading out to your favorite local park, playground, recreation center or boat ramp this summer. Take a look at some of our featured parks below:
- Beulah Regional Park, 7820 Mobile Highway - One of the most popular parks in Escambia County, this spot has amenities for the whole family to enjoy including a basketball court, volleyball court, tennis courts, dog park, walking track and playground equipment. A climbing wall, workout equipment and misters are planned for late 2020 and will make this a true destination park.
- Wilson Robertson Boat Ramp, 11800 Mobile Highway - The boat ramp area sits on the Perdido River and features two boat ramp launch lanes, an ADA compliant dock, a paddle craft launch, 31 parking spaces for vehicles with trailers and a covered picnic table.
- Perdido Kids Park, 10004 Gulf Beach Highway - A one of a kind park in Escambia County! A large playground made for all ages offers plenty to do for everyone. A blue angel-themed portion of the park is truly unique to our area and a gem on the west side of Pensacola.
- Innerarity Point Park, 5828 Cruzat Way - This approximately four-acre property features two playgrounds, picnic pavilions, a swimming area and an ADA accessible boardwalk and kayak launch. This amazing waterfront park also features open space for community gatherings, dock large enough for fishing and paddle craft launch, large and small capacity covered pavilions, restrooms with rinse off areas, parking and native shoreline vegetation.
- Lincoln Park, 7865 Aaron Drive - A brand new playground was installed in May -- just in time for summer! The park also features a basketball court, workout equipment and a partially shaded walking track.
- Regency Park and Dog Park, 8245 Fathom Road - This beautiful 10-acre park has a .33 mile walking track around the perimeter of the park, ample green space and playground amenities for kids to enjoy while parents get a workout in on the fitness equipment.
-
Old Ensley Park, 107 W. Detroit Boulevard - Another great spot to bring the kiddos! This park offers a brand new playground unit full of fun and classic features. Visitors will also find a welcoming walking track, workout equipment and basketball court.
