The intersections of Tippin Avenue at Olive Road and Stark Avenue at Olive Road will be intermittently closed and detoured on Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15 for base preparations and paving operations.
Intersections will be open before dark each night with temporary access ramps beginning Thursday, May 14. The intersection of Tippin Avenue at Olive Road and at the intersection of Stark Avenue at Olive Road will be closed beginning Friday, May 15 at 8 a.m. Stark Avenue traffic will be detoured along Tippin Avenue to Geeker Street, to the Boyd Avenue and Olive Road intersection. Tippen Avenue will be detoured to Raines Street, to Charter Oaks Drive, then to the Olive Road Intersection.
Intermittent roadway closures on Tippin Avenue and Stark Avenue are necessary to prepare the roadway base and pave the south lane of Olive Road and associated intersections where the new drainage system has been installed.
The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect through Friday, May 15, and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts to reopen the road as quickly as possible.
If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time period, another notice will be issued.
